Hi everyone! i am kinda new to this forum, but have been reading the threads almost everyday. Thought it was time to share my creation with Y'all! It's a 99 TJ chili pepper red. I bought it after my first deployment to iraq, and soon after added 31" tires. it satyed that way for almost a year, untill my most recent deployment. I started buying it all from 4wd.com, and just couldnt stop myself, its very addicting! Mods include:

AEV highline hood and fender kit
AEV 16" wheels
315/75/16 Dunlop rover MT maxx traction
4.88 ring and pinion gears
Auburn ECTED locking rearend
Superior axle D35 c-clip eliminator
Taraflex rear disc brake conversion
Superior front axle tube seals
Pacesetter headders
Random technologies cat
4WD.com catback exhaust
Ebay special 4.0l intake
4.0l throttle body
Best top sailcloth replace-a-top
Tuffy center security console
Smittybilt seat covers
Ebay special rear bumper/tire carrier-----was really cheap too Cool
Rocker guard tubes that attach to the frame
1.25" wheel spacers
Sherwin Williams paint-----done in garage at my dad's house!
48" farm jack from Harbor Freight-----it was only $36!

all my photos are on my flickr.com page. they are all to big to post on here so, here is the link:

Finally USING the Jeep!

« Reply #92 on: July 08, 2009, 05:11:20 PM »

So, I figured the Jeep has changed enough to merit posting here again...

I boght it like this:

I did this:

  • Changed all fluid, spark plugs, wires, rotors, cap, belts, flushed brakes and cooling
  • Replaced all brake pads
  • New brake and clutch rubber pedal pads
  • Center console added
  • Shift knobs replaced
  • Headlight switch replaced
  • Installed seat covers for all seats
  • K&N Filter added
  • Installed TJ style wipers (WiperBoy from RipTech)
  • Changed hood set
  • Gibson Cat Back
  • Corrected speedo gear
  • Fire extinguisher
  • steering stabilizer
  • KC Daylighters in windshield mounts
  • Put a cover on the steering wheel for better grip
  • Installed Sony stereo (6X9 speakers in SoundBoxes in the rear, 5 1/4 speakers in ModPods up front, installed amp under the driver seat, new head unit, rewired all speakers, and aluminum subwoofer in the rear)
  • Replaced soft top with Pavement Ends Targa Hard Top
  • O2 Sensor
  • Replaced FM antenna
  • Replaced headlights with H4 Delta Xenon lights
  • Mustang Injectors (Bosch, 19#)
  • Replaced fuel pump, fuel rail, FPR, fuel filter, fuel filler hose and fuel vent hose
  • While the tanked was down, I cleaned it as well (some junk was in there)
  • LED back-up bulbs
  • FoMoCo e-fan with relay connected to low speed and Delta Current Control box connected to high-speed
  • Replaced hood latches with OEM ones (the hood flew open on me while driving)
  • Rocker switches
  • Midland CB, and Firestick Firefly antenna (with quick disconnect) an over-the-tail-light antenna mount
  • Rubicon Express 4" lift with Deutchtech DT3000 shocks
  • PORC SYE kit
  • Woody rear DS
  • Corrected rear axle angle for CV shaft
  • Replaced windshield frame (old one had rust) and windshield (old one cracked)
  • KC Slimlight FogLights
  • Aluminum radiator, BRX radiator hoses, new Robert Shaw thermostat
  • Roll Bar grab handles
  • New tire wrench (the Jeep came with none)
  • Tire plug kit
  • Crown 5-layer brake lines
  • Hawk LTS front brake pads
  • Currie boomerang shackles
  • 62mm TB with 62mm TB spacer
  • Loadboss 165A alternator
  • ARB differential covers for both axles
  • Replaced IAS, TPS, CPS, and MAP sensors
  • Performance Distributors ignition system (Cap, Rotor, LiveWires, Screaming Demon Coil, and new Plugs gapped at .060")
  • JKS Telescopic trackbar
  • Audiovox CCS-100 Cruise Control
  • Brake Booster Vacuum Reservoir
  • Additional Vacuum Reservoirs for the HVAC and Cruise Control
  • Yella Terra Rocker Rollers
  • Rugged Ridge Heavy Duty Tie Rod link kit
  • JCR Offroad Stage 2 rear bumper
  • Replaced front calipers, brake master and brake booster
  • G2 alloy axles for both axles with 4.88 gears
  • ARB Airlockers with compressor
  • Corrected gear (as well aspossible; needed a 44 tooth speedo gear, but could only find a 43 tooth one)
  • Woody front shaft
  • Added a marine fuse box for all the accessories added
  • New floor mats
  • Replaced taillight housings (the old ones were falling apart)
  • ARB Safari Snorkel
  • Moved the KC Daylighters from the windshield to the hood hinges
  • Brown Dog Industry motor mounts, cradle and engine brackets (rubber)
  • 40" Hi-Lift Classic with custom roll cage mount
  • CarSound by Magnaflow cat
  • Borla SS Cat Back
  • Warn Steering Skidplate
  • Installed Pontiac GTO hood louvers
  • Replaced all rocker switches (including the ARB rocker; kept the switch body) with OTRATTW switches
  • Superwinch EPi9.0
  • Hanson Offroad52" Rubicon bumper with winch guard (Line-X'ed)
  • Daystar Poly bump stops
  • Installed BFG's 33 X 12.5 R15 (including the spare)
  • put spacer on spare to clear the bumper

And now it lookslike this (I tried to get the same angle and location for comparisson purposes):

I still have these pending to install (these are sitting in the garage):

  • Mopar High Performance Camshaft and Tappets
  • New valve springs and retainers
  • New timing chain and tensioner
  • Warn Trail Flares
