i know, the shckles look a little ridiculous, im going to college so now im broke and cant buy a real lift. maybe xmas i would like to replace that with between a 2.5" and 3.5" suspension lift and maybe a daystar 1" body lift, im thinking the red bushings would look good

You can go on a budget with add a leaf if you want, the ride would be stiffer/rougher though.

That is a very clean YJ. Looks real sharp (even better when you get a lift and you can drop the shackles )

Take a look at those shackle bolts both the frame and spring. They shouldn't be tightened to squeeze into the bushing. The bushing needs space to flex. Take one bolt out at a time, add some anti-seize to the bolt body and put back in. The anti-seize will act as a lubricant to the inner tube bushing. From the rear picture, the rear spring has more bend in it than the shackle has movement. This creates a binding effect and a stiff ride.

Yah, track bars with leafs will probably do the same thing. I thought I had read you removed them someplace. But still check those shackle bolts especially if you didn't install them. same for the frame mounts on the leafs. You never know what the PO tightened when they were underneath it.

download the FSM from the FAQ section - all the torque values are there.
