installed the banks torque tube header and cat-back monster exhaust. 1st impression:  a welcome relief. i can hear myself think! while the old dynomax was too loud, this set up gives a nice hushed throaty growl. you can def hear it, but its at a lower tune so it doesnt bother as much and its not as loud.  she seems to handle the hills a bit better-i got a little "oomph" in the mid range area.  all stainless through and through. by the way anyone know how to keep that tip nice and shiny?
here are a few pics and a vid with both outside and inside recording.
Video: (dunno how to imbed the youtube clips-sorry!)

Looks good.

Personally, though, I suspect after-market headers don't like cold-weather.  They go 1000F to 50-60F -- or vice versa -- they're ok.  They go 1000F to subzero -- or vice versa -- and they give you a lost Saturday afternoon, some scraped knuckles, a warranty return and a Jeep that's out of commission until the next box shows up.  Too much expansion and contraction.

But the 1/2 inch flange on those headers looks beefy.

That's probably what I'd go with -- banks or borla -- if my stock manifold gave up the ghost.

nevermind, i thought you're asking how to make it nice and shiny, you were asking how to keep it like that - hmm, if it's good quality stainless should stay like that forever, but it will stain in time - there is a metal box with some cleaner soaked cotton inside (not sure of the name or what it is soaked with) - once it stains you can clean that stainless really well with this, i used it on my steps and bushbar upfront - it is somewhere in the garage, next time i'm in there i'll let you know the name (if i can find it), works really well. Other than that not sure how to preserve it, i could suggest sainless wipes but since that is going to get hot and a bunch of dirt on it i don't think it will last, you can try and see.

it already has yellowed some..ive put about 100 miles on it already. figured a compound of sorts to wipe it. im gonna wheel with it on so it will def get dirty, but it would be nice to get it somewhat shiny every now and again when i go ahead and really give the jeep a wash. mostly, im happiest with the sound/tone. the performance aspect isnt huge, but it's there-mid range power picked up a bit, but now my ears dont bleed after a 30 min drive-which means its not a 30 min argument with the gf as to whose car we take on a trip etc.

How's your backpressure?

After a while it started getting loud and that poping was driving me crazy.

seems good for now. it's only been on a week. if anything gets weird ill just take my complaint to banks i suppose. they arent supposed to crap out apparently...we'll see. 1 week is hardly enough to see or guage future issues. as of now i like it.
