yea i know...usually clean, wheeled a week before i put the exhaust in. Im usually nervous about sprayin down the engine bay, but i think im gonna do it soon.
Just becarefull of the air intake. You don't want to get to much water in there. A plastic grocery bag works well to keep it dry. Spray on some simple green let it sit for a bit and hose it down.

if you do decide to change over to banks, call the factory directly at their california location ( i can get ya the number if ya need ) and order it directly from them...this way ya dont pay tax on it and shipping may still be free..though i dont know if you can still get the sale price. it's worth a call if you are interested in switching over. Im prob gonna change my cat since it has a leak in it and is showing age..banks doesnt make one though.

this 4bangers sounds great being stock. I had just recently punched my motor 20 over and det the timing and that things sounds awesome with a thrush welded i installed myself in just 15 minutes. ill get a vid next week and post it. This tj sounds good though, i like the finish on that muffler oopposed to my 39.99 thrush welded. what does the banks monster run? does it come available for 2 1/2 inch pipes?
the banks monster cat back is 2.5". that's the one i have pictured on this post. i need to replace the cat as there is a nice crack in it. once that is taken care of it should actually sound a bit better and the performance may increase a bit-though i prob wont notice.

The stuff in a can with cotton in it is called Never Dull, that works pretty good. I would reccomend using mothers paste polish that stuff works better. If you are having issues with the tip yellowing and bluing. There is a liquid called Blue Away. I use that on the pipes on my Harley. Get in nice and clean and use gloves or when it gets hot, the oils from your hand will burn into it when it gets hot. If you polish it and put a good coat of hard paste wax on it you shoukd be fine with it staying shiny.

sounds kind of like a cross between a rice rocket and one of those 80's military style video games. the camera mic did it no justice. a better sound clip would be awesome. other than that makes me wannt stay with my plans of a full flowmaster header back exhuast. also take it to an exhaust shop or someone who can weld stainless really good, and dump those clamps and seal up the exhuast leaks.

80's style military games -- I like that as a comparison with the 2.5 exhaust sound; it's the best I've read I tried to describe it as "rice rocket" myself, but just couldn't quite do it -- the 2.5 just doesn't have the "rockets'" high-rpm predilection and you can detect the 2.5s cylinder-volume difference from the "rockets" in the 2.5s' exhaust tones.

im gonna be replacing the cat and then i plan on welding (or having my buddy who welds well ) seal up all the piping. The sound clip isnt the greatest and i truly does sound better in person, but the biggest thing i like is the fact it isnt too LOUD! the dynomax was downright annoying.
