Got the Jeep back from the body shop.  Took three weeks instead of the one they told me when I dropped it off, but it came out real nice.  I got new front fenders to replace the rusty ones and had the whole thing painted the same color it was before.

Also over the weekend we put in a sound bar and I pulled the carpets out and painted the rusty spots on the floorboards with POR-15.  Not bad for 13 years old and 148,000 miles though.

$2000.  Fixed some dents and scratches too and installed the new fenders that I bought.  They stripped it down pretty good to paint it and it came out real nice.

It's kind of a father-daughter restoration project.  She's 17 and wanted one ever since she was 5 and had a Barbie Jeep. biggrin  Not gonna go too heavy on the mods, it's more for her DD and to get around in bad weather and to her Mom's in Vermont, which is a 12 hour drive so I need it to be reliable.  Next up, new carpets and American 15x7 Bajas.  By next year it'll need a new top.

Yeah, a local shop in my town.  Been there a long time and I know they're good.  I literally dropped it off and walked home.
