Hello all!
New user from West TN.  Have had several Jeeps over the years. Just purchased my first 4cl. A 2000 TJ.  Looking forward to learning more about getting more power out of this beast!

New member checking in. Here's a picture of my current YJ, it's slightly confused about what year it is.

I like the grill.  What it is and how much work did you have to do?

Thanks. The grill is from a CJ2A, I had to pull the fenders in almost an inch on each side, add some small extensions to each side of the grill at the top corners, and bend up a new body mount. I'll see if I've got good pictures of the swap and do a write up.

As I find myself here again, just browsing around, I realize I don't think I have introduced myself yet.

I have a 92 YJ in Southern Arizona, and it is my first jeep. So far, I have loved running around top and doorless (freezing my tail off lately) and exploring the back trails that have thus far been inaccessable to me by my car. The only thing I don't like about the jeep is the lack of power most of the time, and trying to make it home to Phoenix.

The jeep reads about 213k miles on the clock, but I know it should be a bit higher than that as the Speedometer is off by about 7mph due to the increased tire size. I don't know all the specs, as I haven't had a ton of time to try and research what had been done by the previous owners, and if anyone is in the areas South of Tucson and wants to help me identify what has and should be done, that would be awesome.

What I do know is it has 33" Mud Terrains, A Rough Country Leaf Spring lift (2.5" maybe??), the fuel tank mod, original sage green paint!!, Rugged Ridge tube bumper, Rugged Ridge front seats. I then added a hood mount high lift, 50" light bar on Rough Country windshield mounts, 2x 6 LED flood lights for trail side ilumination also on the windshield corner mounts, a 13.5" LED bar on the front bumper (our old stock headlights SUCK!!), a cobra 75WX CB radio with firestick antenna, a soundbar with pioneer speakers all around the jeep (blew out the front speakers in the rain. paper cones were trashed, so put something a bit better, but stil cheep to replace) with cheepo walmart led fog lights for interrior lighting, a red LED light strip on the back of the rollbar for a 3rd brakelight, a cheap kicker 10 (just enough to level out the massive amount of trebble, and cheap enough that I don't care if it gets trashed or disappears), custom built power distribution box from a dodge neon and switch pod (I can do a write up and post pictures if anyone is interested. Didn't want to spend the cash on an SPOD, so I built my own).

Pic before my additions.

You're only the second person to have a Sage Green YJ here.

I rcommend swapping the headlights to Della E-Code's.  They're 1000x better.  http://4bangerjp.com/forums/index.php/topic,10368.0.html

Your tires look to be 33x10.5R15 BFG KO2's like mine.  :thumb:

Another new guy here, from east TN. I have a '97 2.5 5 speed, it's our 3rd vehicle and occasional trail ride. I have a RZR that gets most of my trail miles but I like to take the Jeep out once a month or so.

Nice little TJ, Will.

Thanks, I've been working on it as I go. It's been a fun little project so far, still have a long list of things to do though.

Good Morning from Wyoming!  I drove my mother in-law to the dealership to buy it in 1995.  Last year my pa in-law decided it was time to upgrade and bought a Rubi JKU and asked if we wanted to buy the '95.  That question had an easy answer!

Specs: 2.5 / auto, 4.0 Throttle Body, 72k miles, D30/Ford 8.8, 4.88 gears, Spartan Fr/ Limited Slip Rr, SYE, CV driveshaft, Elec Fan, 4" Trail Master Lift, 1.25" RC body lift, TJ flares, 15x10 Ultra wheels, 35x12.5x15 Cepek Extreme Country Tires, Smittybilt rear bumper/tire carrier, Extreme Terrain front bumper, Warn M8000i winch.

The day we took posession:

Day after installing the TJ flares (sorry for the cell phone pic):

New Here... Forum member on Wrangler Forum & Jeep Forum.   Have two Jeeps, a 2015 JKU Altitude Edition and a 1995 YJ with a 2.5L.   Power on the YJ, has been adequate for my needs, but I can see as a daily driver how it would drive me insane.   Some day... will look to make some power improvements, but that isn't my top priority.  Next udpates will probably see a 1" Body Lift and possibly TJ Flares as the 31s are still rubbing when flexing.   Eventual goal is SOA with the OME Springs and 33-35's, Ford 8.8, with 4.88 gears and Spartan lockers front & rear.

1995 YJ

4.10 gears
2.5" Old Man Emu Suspension Lift
31x10.50x15" Thunderer MTs on 15x8 ProComp Flat Black Wheels
Tuff Stuff Front & Rear Bumpers and a Smittybilt 9500 Winch

Greeting, I'm Joe. I've had my 93 YJ for just under a year and it's my first car. She is affectionately known as 50 Shades of Black because....just look at the pictures. The PO crashed her twice in the space of two months and patched her up and then shoved her to the side. She had lots of cooling problems when I got her and is still a bit of a mess, but I've come to love her. She's my daily driver, and in the beginning the 2.5 seemed abysmal for anything more than just cruising around town, but you get used to it and once you know how to drive it, it does okay on the highway. Not a racecar by any chance, but me being 20, it keeps me from getting speeding tickets. I'm hoping to start rebuilding her this summer as she's led a pretty hard life at only 141,000 miles...allegedly. The steering column is different, so who knows what may have been actually changed in the dashboard. But either way, there's my Jeep, I'm Joe, and thanks for letting us be part of the forum. Happy Jeeping.

Joe, don't underestimate the performance of the 2.5 liter.  I smoked a delivery truck at the stoplight the other day

Funny you should say that VA_YJ. I go to college in Newark NJ (yeah, great place to leave a car with vinyl windows and no security system) and some of the rich kids bring daddys BMW's and GTR's and what not there. Money can buy a fast car, but no experience. My little 2.5 smoked an M3, I know  Scared the hell out of me. I guess he hadn't quite figured out how to use the launch control or whatever fancy stuff that car comes with. Once my little 2.5 gets force fed, maybe it'll have a chance of competing with your delivery truck  :smokes:
