I was curious how everyone deals with the heat from their Tcase or tranny into the cab? I have a rhino lined tub with no carpet and the heat is enough to cancel out my A/C when driving at highway speeds. If you layed heavy rubber mats or something over it can you post some pics? I normall just put a beach towel over the boot, but the hump itself is still very warm. thanks.

I had this issue with a 4Runner I used to have.
The best solution is to put the insulation and carpet back in.
Then just get some of those deep slush mats to keep it clean.

I was cleaning out an attic and found rolls of uncut "bathroom carpet". It has a rubberized bottom to it so it stays in place pretty good. It deadens sound and keeps heat out.

Yup, the tunnel gets hot. If you sit in the passenger side, the footwell will also get very hot from the exhaust running under it. Hot enough that it becomes uncomfortable to put your feet down there on long trips.
Thermal insulation padding and carpet will help.

My floor boards see to much water living in FL to have carpet. I am going to try and find a heavy duty rubber mat and see if that works.

Location of the cat does not help.

I know a lot have used AL's Liner but has anyone used AL's Liner HNR?
"Al's Liner Heat and Noise Reducer
Al's HNR, is proprietary blend of latex synthetic polymers. It contains acrylic, PVA and vinyl styrene and reinforced with ceramic micro spheres that provide incredible insulation, heat reflection and sound deadening properties. HNR can withstand up to 500F and reflects exterior temperatures by 45°F or more."

I just pull my doors off, the added airflow makes the heat coming up through the floor pretty well unnoticable.

Thats hard to do in FL, it rains every day from June to October between 3pm and 9pm. and by rain I mean its nasty. I guess though the cool rain air is nice compared to the heat form the floor boards. But it would be nice to have something that I was able to pull up and clean out after each wheeling trip. It takes me a good hour to get the nasty off my jeep each weekend. Dont get me wrong I'm not complaining. I love that its messy and I have the chance to do this. But to be able to take 45-50 degrees off my shins or knees would be awesome.
I was talking to a guy in my club who used one of those cintas carpets you see in office buildings. He says it works really well, so now im on the look out for anyone with a cheap connection.

Anybody ever try "lizard skin"? http://www.lizardskin.com/
Sounds similar to the Al's HMR
