looks wicked, but can't help finding too many similarities with the FJ (looks like a restyled short wheel base FJ)

darn, even the color scheme is similar.

Vaguely similar.  Other then having four wheels, the wider B-pillar, the wrap around rear glass and color scheme are the only similarities.  Then again Land Rovers used curved glass corners on all of their pickups going back to at least the Series II.  The white tops go back as far as the Series I's.  The white top was copying the Land Rovers as it helped keep the interior cooler.  The wide B-pillar has been the Land Rover for a long time as well.

You pull one up next to a FJ and no one's going to confuse it for a smaller FJ.

That is a pretty neat looking concept if they put into production, I wonder if ford will put the Bronco concept from a few years ago into production also.

That's been happening for years on cars and trucks.  16's or 17's would be more realistic.

Honestly speaking, it lacks ruggedness...  Too Range Rovery for my taste.  I kind of miss the flat panels and sharp angles that made the defender what it was (at least in my opinion!).  By the way, I heard form the local dealer that Range Rover and Land Rover would be split up, and that both would have models in the same segment to compete with one another; maybe this is a more range rover product?

16's are pretty much the standard and have been for years now.  They have to be to accept the larger brakes that most have.  Land Rover Defenders, Toyota Hilux, Nissan, etc...  Not the version we see but the world versions which are 100% work trucks.  Most rockcrawlers have moved to 17" so there is less sidewall flex when you're running 38's -42's.

I prefer this one I read about last month. If it looks like this, I'm not sure how I could NOT buy.

I miss the set back grill that allows a proper place for a winch. Jeeps are the only vehicles that still have a really good place for a winch.

Not much of a concept.  That's just the old Defender with cataracts around the headlights.  I don't like the pushed out headlights either.

The top one looks like a freelander got mixed with a range rover. Im not a fan at all. At least when jeep redesigned they kept the roots true and apparent with the new JK. The second concept (the one Moz presented) is way better in my opinion. All they have to do to conform to new standards is soften up the front fascia/grill (pedestrian impact laws) and provide airbags (im not sure if current defenders offered overseas do or not) and of course a fuel efficient engine as well.

They dont; at least not the ones sold here in Costa Rica.
