Title: Sorry
Post by: Hunter02 on September 05, 2011, 06:07:58 PM
Greetings All. I posted a question under 'WorkBench' and it ended up here under 'IntroduceYourself'. Figured I was on the YahooGroup so long I didn't need introducing. Well, here goes;
My name is Jim Fry and I live in S.W. Florida, closer to Havana than my own state capital. I'm on Jeep #5.
My first Jeep was a '46 Willys, put together from War Surplus sales. (Yes, I am that old)
Next came a '52 CJ3a, bone stock.
I picked up a '66 DJ5 (not postal) in '74. The son of the guy I sold that one to is still driving it. F-heads forever.
A '77 CJ7 was next. It had a one piece f/g front end and I could change the oil or put in a new starter without getting my knees dirty.
That brings us to my current Jeep; 1998 TJ Wrangler 2.5l Auto 31.10.50 AT  T/As throttle body spacer and speedo gear -took milage from 12.7 to 17.8-  1200waats of aux lighting as the only off-road stuff we do down here is run the canals at night spotting gator. For serious off-roading we got airboats.
Flat fenders rule.    Jim

The heading was "3 Stoopid Questions. It was three questions about replacing the switch panel above the ashtray, tightening the outside mirrors and the two loops that stick up through the carpet behind the back seat.
Thanks Sharp.   Jim

Your questions were moved to the Mess Hall (and it's still there), which is a catch all Jeep.  More specific questions like How do I do this? or I need help with this part go to the Work Bench.  Anything off-top completely goes to the lounge.

News can be anything car related that you want to share with us.
