This will take you off site but is a cheap and simple way to keep water from pooling up under the top.

That was my exact idea.   So I know I didn't invent the idea (nor did I patent it), but that was exactly what I had in my vision.  

It's great that you were able to forward it on for others to see.  It is cheap and easy (just like me!!)

Just thought I would bring this back up since I just did this myself, and it works great no more water pooling and the top is not flapping when driving. Cost me $6. I had to get 2" to 1 1/2" Ts, 1 1/2" to 1 1/4", and 1 1/4" to 1/2". and 5' long 1/2" pvc pipe cut down to 44". I could not find the 2" to 1/2"
