What's up with yours? Bad bearings or are you looking for more amps?

Well, I found out the rear bearing is original.  Also, taking the screws out was a PITA.  I ended up having to push the brushes in to clear the rotor without removing the brushes and rectifier.

I measure 15mm ID x 35mm OD x 11mm W for the rear and 17mm ID x 52mm OD x 16mm W for the front.  The front bearing is a KOYO 437.  The rear is WBD 6020D.  Looking up the numbers on the small bearing, I get this;

Ball Bearing

Have you found a source to buy from?
Did you find anything else wrong with it?

The small bearing has some play.  You can hear it when you spin it.  The big one feels like it's spinning in molasses.  I don't feel any rough spots but its not spinning freely.

There are a bunch of places to get bearings.  Ebay, any alternator rebuilder, bearing supply, etc...  Even Napa has some.  Although they're a bit overpriced.  The big bearing goes for $15-30.  The small one $8-10.

I could always put those bad bearings to use on something or another. Maybe after the Christmas hub bub is over you could send them down. I'll pay for shipping.

This place seems to sell them.  Only problem or potential problem is quality.  They look to be from China.  I don't know of Timken make any or Valley Forge or any of the other US makers though.
