Title: When did ARB and others start selling tools?
Post by: Jeffy on January 11, 2012, 05:31:15 PM
I never knew ARB sold tools for setting up gears.  I saw G2 also sells a bearing puller as well.

Expensive but nice.  Actually they're not that expensive and could save you money over time.

Yukon sells some as well.  They're a bit cheaper but don't come in a nice case.

The pocket style bearing pullers are very nice, but I can pull bearings off and reuse them all day long with a regular puller and a bearing splitter plate. There is a dirty little trick that works very well. Does not damage the bearing cages at all.

Yeah, I just wish they were cheaper.  I don't have a press yet.  What's the trick?
