Hey guys i have a 97' TJ 2.5 I re-geared a few years ago to 4.88's and absolutely love it. Recently i upgraded to 33x12.50x15r and obviously lost a little but the look was worth it. Then i installed an electric fan an Airaid intake and had flowmaster welded on and dropped outside the passenger door pointed downward. I was looking into the Airaid Throttle body Spacer but didn't know how much of a difference it would make I read Jeffy's product review on it but was curious if anyone had any experience or suggestions as to it's overall performance. Right now i'm running about 2500-2700 rpm's at 65 mph pretty comfortable ride for now. Should i install the TBS or leave it where it's at?????

I don't have one, can't say how well they work, but most cost $80 to over $100 which I think is a crapload of money for a hunk of machined aluminum. Rugged Ridge has one for about $40 and if I was going to gamble on something that may or may not work, that's the one I'd try.
My .02.

Well, I like mine but it's been bored to 63mm. I liked it before since no one else was making them. I think I paid $60-something for it. I'd never pay more then that. You used to be able to find smooth spacers for $20.

I think every little bit helps. I have smooth-bore 62mm spacers that match my throttle bodies.

Well i found one on feEbay for 82.95 free shipping. It doesn't say what mm it is so i'm assuming (which i probably shouldn't do) it is 62mm. Any suggestions?

Just get one from Bounty Hunter.

if it doesn't say it's stock diameter and not 62mm
do you have a 62mm t/b? (just wondering why you're looking for one that size, if you have the stock t/b or 4.0L t/b you don't need a 62mm one, using a larger spacer will also hurt rather than improve anything).

Honestly i have no clue i guess i'll throw the nuuuuuub card there i didn't know much about throttle body stuff. I was just researching more add ons to increase some throttle response???

I bought the Airraid one a few years ago now. Did it make a difference. a little, Would I do it again, I am not sure. I noticed much more of a difference with the electric fan and header additions. Every little bit helps on these rigs. I know a lot of the Charger/LX guys hate them and say they are worthless. I do not have one on my charger, but that is also a totaly different machine.

I have a '95 with 2.5, 4.0 TB, 19# injectors, and stock intake. I know, i need to bore the intake. Read somewhere the airaids are actually smaller diameter because of the threads in bore. I just bought a smooth 62mm spacer on e-bay for $33. Can't tell ANY difference. Feel like I should have put the money in the gas tank. Now I'm a newb, and I've seen strong opinions on spacers elsewhere, but I just don't see where they benefit a mpfi engine. My injectors squirt almost directly into the head. If it had a carb or tbi, I could see it. I've heard about turbulence but don't think it applies to my engine. Is there something I'm not getting? ???

nope, that's about it, little difference if any, something that helps the lower end imo so maybe that's why you don't notice anything
