Title: OME suspension - INSTALLED. 14 hours-2days
Post by: bestos on October 24, 2012, 08:42:28 AM
ok guys,  2 weekends ago, 9 hours on saturday, 5 on sunday, and 2 horus the middle of the next week when the new swaybar endlinks showed up.

had to drop back and punt after a few hours of trying to get the old bushings out of the frame.  went and bought a cutoff wheel, didnt have one at the shop we were at.  now i have my own.  also spent time trying how to save the original springs when trying to get the sleeves out.  we wasted probably 4-5 hours on those bushings and sleeves. lesson learned.  cut that crap.

so, OME2.5 - 5/8 shackles - 1" body (existing) and bushwackers (existing) - i want to go flat fenders once i get my 33s.  my 32s are 7 years old.  rear trac bar was already gone.  have new JKS sway endlinks in, and front track bar removed as well.

looks very nice. 2.5l of lift on a yj is a nice setup especially if you can open up those fenders with tj flares or flat fenders as you said. heat is the key to dealing with those bushings. if all else fails burn them out  :pirate:
