i don't really like the new squinting headlights and short grill slots. shifter looks weird too. but the diesel option is cool though. the new tough screen looks good too. hopefully the gui is better than the previous version...

i drove a GC a few year back, it's amazing how little room they have inside compared to the overall dimensions, i have no idea why they make them so cluttered.
that being said, looks nice

Even the Wrangler is like that. it's strange that the JK is larger but with all the plastic and seats it really doesn't feel open anymore.
The Grand looks weird though. If you could cut about a foot off the whole bottom it would look better. Or else lower the whole thing and not extend the skirts nearly as much.

Fiat styling?

Fiat styling?
I don't think so.

restyled Durango?
Well the width of the side skirt and bumper are because of the bumper laws and how they're trying not to raise them up. Gotta be safe for cars to crash into you and them not dying and all that. It just looks like a muffin top. Bigger doors add more side protection so they can get the higher crash rating.
The GC has gone from being an up scaled offroader to a soft BMW X5, Mercedes ML, Lexus RX, etc... fighter. The Durango is a lot bigger then the GC with it's 3-row seating. It's actually more truck then the Jeep is.

Going to be tough to improve on the latest version...was as good looking as I had ever seen it.

I never really cared for the GC's. I think the Commander looked better.

I agree...I guess thats why I bought one. Wife and I both love the "boxy" look on some vehicles and the Commander did it for both of us. Just wish we had one less kid and no dog as there was not a lot of room in there, but fun to drive.
We're thinking of getting a used VW Toureg or Volvo wagon at the end of the summer for her...time to "upgrade" from the Honda Odyssey.

The Touregs are nice. I liked the big diesel they had a few years back. I still like the Xterra though. One of the few SUV's that looks like a truck. You'll have one less kid soon thouh. That opens the door some more fun stuff.

I agree with you on this one... Was actually looking to buy one "for my wife", but they were a bit off my budget, so she got a Ford Edge instead...
