In another thread, you said that a broken traction bar was a good thing because SDWE could get rid of it and have a self-centering axle. Can I assume that is only for a JEEP that goes off-road alot? I have the original front sway-bar on my '98 TJ and just put on a rear sway bar. All my hot-rod-mechanic buddies laughed until I had them take a ride and they saw the difference it made.
I live in S.W. Florida and the only off-road stuff I do is riding the canal banks at night with my grandsons, spotting 'gator.

It only applies to leaf sprung Jeeps, they don't really need track bars. Sway bars might help but mine is gone and not missed. TJs are very different.

i ran without a sway bar up front and no track bar in the rear no problem, '95 YJ
like he ^ said, TJs have coil springs and you def need both up front if you drive it on the street and regardless if it's street or offroad there's no way to drive the TJ without a track bar, the axle would shift sideways
traction bar is a different thing, it's used on leaf springs to prevent axle wrap.
