Not impressed. Sure the terrain looked dramatic but most vehicles can drive that smooth slickrock.
IRS and did you see the exhaust hanging low in front of the rear suspension?

I think this is more targeted for soccer moms than us...

I don't think it's targeted towards Soccer mom's at all. They're selling the image of being able to go offroad even if they only stick to the roads. They're selling it to adventurous people who don't have time to adventure but like the idea of it. Of course it's on an easy trail that make the Rubicon look difficult but that's more then what most people will ever do anyway. A Soccer Mom would be more about the practicality of hauling a bunch of kids to and from school.

I think they are selling the "Jeep image", and I agree, this is about a rough as most people drive their 4X4, but this is certainly not directed at the same crowd as the Wrangler Rubicon (although I do have to admit most Rubicons rarely see a trail; I mean, look at the sales figures, and then see how many are really in the trails!).

The whole point of a Jeep is one of 2 things, either A. It can be topless, or B. It does something off-road that other vehicals just can't (or preferably C. Both). I am kinda against the way Jeep is moving towards with the Patriot, Liberty and now the Cherokee. I realize that with foreign SUV's they have to somewhat compete in the Daily Driver SUV market, but why not put this vehical out under the Dodge name brand instead.
I guess I am a little too much of a purist when it comes to Jeeps ... but I give it a :fitz:

Kinda funny since the Jeep was derived from a car.

LOL ... you have a point there, but it was still topless!
