While I was having my oil changed, I was informed of a pretty good sized dent in the oil pan. I am familiar with the Warn and Skidrow options. What do you guys use? I need one that is strong enough to stand up to several rock hits. Suggestions Please!!!
Does anybody have any experience with the Jeepmedic Skid?

Warn,Skid Row, Turbo City make one for the 4cyl. I know there are others but, I cannot think of their names right now.

I'd suggest doing with something that either bolts on or welds on. Remember the oil pan heats up. Heat will break down the RTV over time. Not to mention a decent impact might save your pan once but then what happens if it falls off and you're only half way through?
Turbo City's also uses RTV but should be welded on if you remove the pan. I kinda like the extended transfer case skids that protect the pan.

I had the Turbo City one. It lasted until I hit it on a rock. Knocked it off. Not much of a impact to do so.
I replaced it with a Skid Row one. I like it alot. The hole the have to change the oil is kind of a joke. It's about the size of a silver dollar. So I welded a plate over it. I had to take it off to change the oil anyway. I also added some angle iron to beef it up a bit. They are kinda long and was afraid that it would bend. I have had it a few years and it has held up. Pretty easy install. Takes about 5 minutes to take off to change the oil.
:EDIT: It also protects the tranny and exhaust as well.

For sure, "weld on".
We did the skid plate cover like in the site then welded it to the pan w/some peices of 1"X1" angle iron for support. Used an old block to mount the pan on while welding. Has worked very well.
