Full compression, only resting on the front bump stops. It was stupid awesome - stupid that I did it, but awesome that the jeep did it.

I'm this buying property and I needed to move the old one out of the way for my double wide. The 4:1 low and the 4:1 first gear worked like a champ. I'll have to be honest, I was expecting the front frame to snap, but it held. Moved it nearly 300 ft down hill. My back is killing me from all the work, but I can only imagine what the Rubi is feeling.

if those wheels were more in the center it wouldn't have had that much weight on, i was clenching just by looking at that picture so i can imagine how you felt. Pretty impressive though but i'd suggest balancing the weight on that mobile before doing it again.

Not the smartest thing I've ever done. I would have opted to center the axles too, but the axle mounts were welded in place, would have had to cut and weld a center location. I cringed as I was putting the weight down on it and even more when I drove through a rut.
That was a one and only time I ever have to or will do that. I plan to dismantle the mobile and use it for a deck/porch later on. Indescribable amounts of feces in there now. I'll wait for it to be cool out for that later project.

You're lucky you didn't blow out the R&P. When in reverse you're putting pressure on the coast side which is the weaker side. As long as you weren't jerking it, it's probably ok but really you should be pulling in from the back.

Tjs have low pinion front axels so its a horse apiece ( one ring and pinion is in coast mode in either direction). Either way its quite the impressive pull.

maybe you're thinking reverse cut on the D30 (i know YJs have that but have no idea about TJs)
