I got in my jeep to ride to town and it ran fine for a couple miles. Then started skipping and dieing. Pull over looked me engine over got back in and drove 10 miles no problem. Went in the store and started home it was skipping again. Cel check says its the tps. Sound right?

Check the connection; mine has done this for this reason in the past (actually, I accidentally unplugged it when messing with the vacuum lines, and did not even noticed until the Jeep started acting up).

Disconnect the TPS and see if there's any change. If the engine doesn't know where the throttle valve is it will throw everything off.

sounds about right, if it's not the connector then replace it. If you want to make sure reset the ECU and try again see if the code is back.
