Title: Fuel Injector Part # 0 280 155 700 Right or Wrong?
Post by: bukdwn on April 08, 2014, 01:23:32 PM
OK,   I have a question and hoping you guys can help.
Vehicle:   1995 2.5   Manual Trans. 98,000 on engine
Upgrades:    4.0 Throttle body, bored intake, Stock engine otherwise.

Sense the last trip to RUBICON, I noticed that the engine had a vibration to it, nothing to big  But vibration!   Also noticed that it was getting a little harder to start. "takes a couple more cranks from the starter to fire.  So i started looking at info and reading threads from you guy's.   I probably shouldn't have but i bought 4 from eBay.    The action stated that they would work for my 1995 wrangler.   I installed them and they seem to work fine,  Better idle, Start up was quicker,  but not to sure they gave me any performance.   The part # for mine does not match the ones that i have found on here.   Could someone please tell me if i have the right ones?
Part# 0 280 155 700.      Ford Type 111 (4) hole yellow all plastic in injectors.          I sure would appreciate it!

As far as the vibration!    I have not figured that out yet.   I'm  going to change the rotor and cap and maybe the plugs.  New fuel filter while I'm at it.

they're 18.25lb/hr at 43.5 psi, that means 17.3lbs/hr at 39psi (the fuel pressure in your Jeep) which is 0.1lbs/hr less than the stock, so you lost something  but in all honesty probably not noticeable.

your "vibration" could be related to a bad squirting injector, that makes the engine run in 3.5 cylinders (most likely smooths out at higher rpms), one way to figure out which one it is is to pull the injector plugs 1 by 1 and see which one responds the least amount. Or maybe a bad wire or cap/rotor which you are already looking at.

give this a read http://4bangerjp.com/forums/index.php/topic,3479.msg52986.html#msg52986
some of the info on injectors would have to be confirmed as it is based on whatever i found on the internet

Thanks Sharpxmen.
Thanks for the info!    So i think your saying that these injectors (0 280 155 700)  are acceptable.
Would changing out the FPR to a adjustable or set pressure be better , or just leave it at that?    I just changed out my rotor and cap last night and need to drive the jeep around.     The old rotor and cap weren't that old, maybe 350 miles on them or so.     The cap looked pretty bad, lots of burnt looking gray smoke on the inside.
I also changed out my TPS about a week ago. (  That got rid of my high idle issue at start up and stop signs/lights)     The new rotor and cap got rid of the vibration i was having i think.     Lots of changes to the engine, so i will have to drive it to be able to tell.
Thanks for the help and if you think a FPR is in order, Please let me know.

All distributor caps except performance Distributers cap is made with aluminum contacts.  These do not really last that long.  The one from performance Distributer  is made much better and last longer.  But does cost more.

FPR would help a bit but won't make a world of difference, will help at WOT regardless if you have these injectors or stock (or to be more specific will help in open loop, in closed loop where you are driving most of the time your ECU will compensate to 14.7AFR even with higher fuel pressure and in your case will correct the tiny amount of missing flow).

Thanks Grumpgy,       Ya, i stay away from the aluminum one's.  They go south pretty fast on the coast here!
Still need to drive it to see what the improvement is or if any.    Just want to make sure I'm not running Lean/Fat anywhere< ( idle too WOT) Thanks for the help.
