Title: A/C compressor bypass pulley & Getting rid of Power steering

so my original A/C bracket broke and i dont use my A/C anyways and even if it did work, it takes too much power from the engine to run it anyways, So does anyone have any experience with this item

since my original bracket broke, i may just buy that one


Next thing i was wondering..... They sell a manual rack for the dakota 2.5, But i was told it may not work due to how many turns the column makes and the connection would be different so i would need a column from a manual steering truck in order  to use it, but i dont even know of the same kinda vehicle with no P/S

Powersteering was one of the best things I did to my MJ, couldnt imagine wanting to remove it.

well power steering robs the engine of a little power, so i was thinking maybe doing manual steering would be better, once your in motion it doesnt matter, but im a big guy so turning the wheel at a stop wont bother me

Not as much power as you would think. I noticed no change in power when I added powersteering.

When your not turning the pump isn't forced to build pressure so you are burning a very small amount of power most of the time. We put power steering on our flat fenders with 60 HP and was one of the best things we did.

I even went as far as to swap my vacuum brake booster for a hydraulic one running off my power steering pump...

i notice with the A/C delete bracket from Rock auto, theres no attachment for the alternator, does this mean i use this delete pulley bracket along with the original bracket??

Wouldnt it be easier to disable the AC clutch so it just free wheels? The AC doesnt take any power when its not running the pump.

Or you could route the belt to not include the A/C all together.  You'd need to but a shorter belt though.
