OK, this one was my fault, I know. I was going to cross a small creek with a high bank, and mud all over the place, so I engaged the lockers (both).when I put the nose of the Jeep in, I noticed it was a little too steep, and, not wanting to ruin the tailgate once again (this is the same place I damaged it last time), I backed out. When I went to park the Jeep, I forgot to disengage the front locker. I turned the Jeep going in reverse as far as it would turn, and I heard a loud POP!.
I immediately know what it was, so I disengaged the front locker. After that, I did not notice anything weird (noises, vibrations, nothing). My question is, should I be concerned that I broke something, or should I just be thanking my lucky stars that I did not break anything?

Well, maybe it was the U-joint binding at full turn.

were you in 4wd at the time? could come from your leafs or trackbar also due to binding with the front locked and 4wd, but loud pop is not good, hopefully nothing in the diff housing.

I'd check the U-joints first: had something like that some years ago: under stress there was a "snap" and I thought i had broken the axle. (it was that typical axle-snapping-sound)
With a quick inspection, nothing was found (mud everywhere and wheel still turning).
I drove the car for several hundreds of miles until I got around to it to inspect it more carefully: on the passenger side (vacuum disconnect side) 1 leg of the u joint was broken of; because it didn't give traction (the 100's of miles were in 2H) there wasn't any damage or problem noticeble when driving.
