Anybody know which fuel gauge to get?
-
I believe they are 0 ohm empty/90 ohm full. At least the MPFI's are. I'd imagine TBI is the same though.

Yeah, I can't imagine they'd go to the trouble of using a different sender - they kept most everthing else the same.
Thanks Jeff

pretty sure my tank reads 90 ohms when full

Call me suspicous but I recall that there were two guages stateside.
Lets see what the trusty parts list comes up with. Jeep list three part #s 56001386 for 87-91, 83506590 for 92-93, and 56004879 for 94-96. These could all be cosmetic changes,
there is an article on 4x4wire (http://www.4x4wire.com/jeep/tech/interior/yjdash/) and he used a 90Ohm gauge on his 91 dash conversion. Not much info on the guage by part number, but is runs about $43.00.

We're talking senders not gauges. Pre 91's have one set of gauges because they have a clock and lack the large 4WD light. 91-95 should be about the same.

Anybody know which fuel gauge to get?
But you can tackle this question from either of the wire. I went for the guage side and you went for the sender side. Isn't this country great?

Got it - it's actually 1 and 88, but the 0-90 gauge works just fine. Thanks for everybodies help.
