I wanna pull the body off my jeep and give everything under there a good coat of POR 15. Anyone know where there is a good tutorial on it?

Haynes manual has a complete build/rebuild. Not to shabby pics too. I can see what is on ALLDATA for service shops. gimme some time though

well it'll be a few weeks before i start so let me know and thanks!

Nothing on ALLDATA, I am looking at getting a service manual from one of the Techs here at the shop that worked for Jeep. I'll look and see if it's in there.

There isn't that much to removing the body. Hopefully, you have a bunch of strong friend or have a lift handy.
11 body bolts hold the body to the frame. You'll need to disconnect the harness to the engine and to the tank. Disconnect the fuel lines at the bellhousing quick release, take off the front clip Disconnect the brake lines at the master, disconenct the ground strap for the engine, etc... lots of little things here and there. You'll probably get a few of them then have to lift and check and see if there are any snags.
A FSM will help you locate some things but it's just easier to do it as you move along. You might want to document everything though. There will be no section in any manual that's for removing the body. Basically, it's everything in the manual.

how much would you guess it weighs? I'm thinking about rigging up a hoist in my garage using the rafters, don't wanna pull the garage down though. haha

Depends on how much you remove from the inside. Take the all the big stuff out and it'll be a couple hunderd pounds still.
