Post by: losduos on March 18, 2017, 01:23:10 PM
Hi, I'm new here and in the process of rebuilding my 2.5. Does somebody know the original cam specs? Considering getting one ground...

Thanks!

What year is your Jeep?  YJ's and TJ's have different cam profiles.

Thanks, do you know the standardized values by any chance?
Comp is offering the following and I'd like to compare to stock:
200/206 @.050" .416"/.435" on 113 (to work with stock injection and springs)

I don't believe Comp Cams makes anything for the Jeep 2.5L.

Yeah, but they can grind you one. And that's what they came up with.

Schneider also has some cam options. Pretty good prices as well. Just another option. They can also custom grind you one.

Thanks guys.

There is also 505 Performance offering 3 stages. Stage 1 is very close to stock I think, probably the most reliable one. Stage 2 looks also interesting but quite a bit more aggressive. Any advice?

The one Hesco used to sell was made by Clay Smith. they had 4 different grinds as I recall, I have the "RVOB" version Hesco sold.
