Just received these in the mail today. I still need to order some new stock mounts before I can install them. They match my Poweraid TB Spacers nicely. 8)

yea but what are they? they look like expensive bricks to me.

^ they are motor mount lift spacers... I have the same ones sitting in the back of my jeep. I already PB blasted/broke all the bolts, i'm hoping to have time to install them this weekend. 8) I have a throttle body spacer sitting back there also, but need to find a 4.0L throttle body.

what is the purpose of the motor mount lift spacer. Now that I know what the expensive bricks do, I would like to learn their function.
What is the benefit of having the extra space the motor mount lift spacers provide?

^ it does basically the same thing as a transfer case drop except you don't lose ground clearance. And they arn't ugly looking like the transfer case drops (i hate mine)

Basically, they allow me to have decent driveshaft angles without having to lower the transfer case. I also have a 1.25" JKS body lift so this also helps bring them back up.
Secondly this allow me to raise the engine without having to resort to poly mounts. It shakes a bit more at idle then I'd like. So I'll be switching back to rubber engine mounts.
What this will eventually do is allow me to raise the Tcase skid so it's flush with the frame rails and the angles should be about the same as stock but allow everything to be tucked up higher.

how much did those cost?
i've looked into them before but the last replacement motor mounts i looked at incorporated the lift so you don't need a spacer.

They cost $51. They are pretty light since they are made from aluminum. You could make some out of square tubing but it would of been a hassle to do. I currently run TD Perfromance 1" poly mounts. Before that I ran Currie 1" mounts. Problem with those mounts is that they shook everything especially at idle. I believe this was one of the reason why I kept breaking exhaust hangers left and right. Also, since my seats are hard mounted and suspension seats, they do not isolate vibrations like foam seats do. Then I have do deal with thigns loosening up from all the vibrations. For a daily driver this was a PITA. At least for me. Which is why I switched.
I will be selling off my TD Performance mounts though. :lol:

i might be interested in the mounts when you sell them... assuming i'm not still broke :oops: i don't mind the vibrations and i also wouldn't mind ditching my tc drop when i replace the clutch slave cylinder in my ax5. those TD Performance mounts you have will fit my 89 2.5 correct? and they are 1" MML mounts?
