Title: Skyjacker Lifts: Hydro or Nitro Shocks?
Post by: dunklervogel on May 16, 2006, 11:17:57 PM
Hi,
I am looking into installing a Skyjacker lift kit for my '97 TJ and was just wondering if anyone knew the difference between the Nitro shocks and the Hydro shocks.  I noticed the nitro shocks tend to run a little more expensive but other than that I don't know what the difference would be.  Any info would be appreciated!  Thanks.

Hydro's are a different gas...   Basic gas inside...  Hydraulic action

Nitro's have a bit of Nitrogen gas inside (150psi) (keeps aeration down, less bubbles inside).  Less bubbles allow the shock to stay cooler longer.
