the oil pressure gauge goes up to 6 on my jeep, funny thing is it does it with the engine off just by turning the ignition. Must be something wrong with ..... what?
ps. today i turned the jeep on after a ferw months of garage because i was fixing the body, the engine hasnt been touched

Well, it could mean the oil pressure sender is fouled or going bad. How many months has it been sitting?
-
about 6 months, is the sender hard to repair, can i do it myself?
-
It takes a whole 5 minutes to swap and only requires one wrench. The sender is on the pass side of the engine next to the distributor. Looks like a brass fuel filter with one wire on it.

Just becarefull taking the old one off. I busted the brass elbow off on the block. It took quite awhile to get to it. I had to take the Alt. off as well as some other stuff. And the only place that had a replacement was the dealer.
I guess that is what happens when you try and use a adjustable wrech. I now have a sending unit socket that makes the job much easier.

cool, it sounds very easy. Thanx for the tip
