I ordered my 4" lift, now I need tires. I want 33X12.5X15. I was planning on getting a wheel and tire package from "4wheeldrive" for around $800 Rock Crawlers wheel and Pro Comp Mud tire. Not sure if I should just get tires and put them on stock rims I would be saving around $200, if stock rims would even work. Just looking for some input on tires and rims. What to look for and where to look.
Thanks

You're going to need new wheels with the proper backspacing to clear your new meats. 4.5" maybe?

Do you know what wheels you have on there now?
If they are the stock 15x6 9-slots then you'll have to get new wheels. You might want to search for the thread on backspacing. If your state does safety inspections, then uncovered tires will become a problem. Especially if the state limits the size of the flare. I know WA and PA have flare size limits. 4.25-4.5" is what I'd shoot for. They will probably try to sell you a standard 3.75" which will push the tire way out there.
You might want to check around for prices. If you can find steel wheels from around $35-75 each. If you're sold on those Pro Comp tires then you might want to wait for a 4 for 3 deals otherwise look for a different tire.
If you don't want to screw around with wheels and want 33's then I'd look at a tire in 33x9.5R15 to 33x10.5R15. BFG as well as some other companies make some narrow tires. You'll get the same height, won't have to buy new wheels and they will sit under your stock flares fine. THey may rub but you can stop that easily and inexpensively.

Dave...you might want to check out desertrat.com Got my rims and tires from there and was really pleased with their service. Don't worry that they're in Phoenix. I ordered mine while in South Carolina and got them in a week. They come mounted, balanced and shrinkwraped on a small pallet, and the cherry on top...they put chrome air valves on. Nice touch on their part...
