Title: Electric fan
Post by: Shrek on July 25, 2006, 08:46:33 PM
I am installing an electric fan on my 97 TJ. Where and how do you re-mount the P/S tank and overflow bottle? Once the shroud is removed the mounts are gone as well.

I used a small peice of aluminum bolted to the radiator support and bent at a 90 degree anle where it meets the pump so it slid right on.

This is on a XJ, but should be similiar on the wrangler 8)

i used my original shroud and cut it to fit my electric fan, that way i have original mounting locations and brackets for the bottles.

That will work well too, I was just worried about having to swap back to stock later on if I trade the jeep in or something.  Also 4 cylinder cherokee fan shrouds are hard to come by

Yeah,  I read that the AEM Cold-Air intake kits for 91-95 4 cyls require the same thing: relocate/reposition your power steering resevoir.  May be picking up the aforementioned CAI, so thanks for the pics for ideas on a reposition
