Does anyone have the Technical Service Bulliten number for the broken manifold stud on YJ's? My exhaust is ticking very loudly and it really need fixed.

Well since it's only a TSB and you have a YJ, I doubt the Dealer will fix it for free.
Since Alldata went pay all I was able to find was; 11-07-98A DEC 98 Exhaust Manifold - Outer Studs Breaking
The part is lsited in the FAQ.

Chrysler gave me the following TSB for the Exhaust Manifold studs on my '97:
TSB 110798
I know it's not a YJ, but maybe it could be a reference point.
You can call 800-853-1403 to get the TSB # or any recalls for your Jeep. You can also go to http://www-5.jeep.com/webselfservice/jeep/index.jsp?screenName=recall&country=us&emailUrl=go to check for any recalls without having to call, but it won't give you any TSB information.
Unfortunatly, being only a TSB, Jeep won't pay for it (it would have to be a recall). It would probably be cheaper to have another shop repair it.
The back stud on mine is broke off, and my Jeep sounds like a lawn mower :oops:

ok this is kindof imparising to ask :oops: ... so the exost manifuld mas studs with nuts over them. no bolts.... cuz if that is true i have a broken stud on my yj.. never really looked into it much cuz havent noticed anything bad exost wise.

The first and the last bolts are studa and not bolts. They will have a nut on them rather then a bolt head.

Big Job, my 89 YJ had the same problem when I bought it. I did not know if it was a blown gasket, warped manifold, or broken stud until I pulled everything apart. Since I found new exhaust manifolds on ebay were only $25 I ordered a new manifold, bought a gasket at Kragen and started the job on a Friday so I would have plenty of time if I needed it. Some of the bolts hold both the intake & exhaust. 1st I had to pull the throttle body and inake plus drain some coolant, then the exhaust manifold was ready to pull. Turned out it had no gasket on the exhaust manifold and the 2 studs were badly damaged preventing the nuts from tightening down all the way. I was able pull the studs & fix them with a tap & die kit. I then installed the new exhaust manifold & gasket but getting a torque wrench on some of them is really impossible. It has been running great since I finished the job which did take me 2 full days of back-breaking work and lots of WD40! Good idea to clean all the bolt holes with a tap while you have it torn down. Also the EGR tube was a real pain to transfer to the new manifold.
