I run a Yaesu FT-1500M in my Jeep.  I have my radio mounted in my console (not stock).  Probably the hardest thing was finding a place for my antenna.  I'm using a Larsen NMO-150C mounted to the driverside above the rear tail light on a standard Larsen L bracket. The anyenna is a bit tall at 48" but that's ok.  A 2/70 will probably be much shorter but the same location could be used.  I think there are some pictures of my setup in How-to.

The console in my tj is mainly just a cup holder, but I looked around & found this: http://www.arizonarockyroad.com/radiomounts.html I went ahead & ordered one along with a spare tire mount.I'll report on it when I get it in......................... :D

I found some picts of my setup. I use a seperate MFJ Speaker.  Unlike most CB speakers this one is filtered so only voice frequencies come out.  Volume is pretty loud and I can run down the highway with the top down and still hear and be heard.

Those were over stock vinyl seats.  in 90* temps they got super hot.  Those seat covers were a $10 solution.
