I have seen stuff like that around the city. I shed a tear when I see that.

I like the engineering with Low-Riders.  And if it got me laid, I'd probably have one, too

But, the idea of taking a jeep and lowering it like that is kind of repulsive given the vehicle's intended use. But, hey, why not, DC will make more (course, not of that classic "YJ" look that everybody loves)

Elements faster and more comfortable.  Scion gets better gas mile and has a whole lot more room.  Either would be better over that POS.  It's got to be heavy with all of those batteries and hydrolics.

Here's the only lowered Jeep, I like:

Just think though. For every abortion like that you see, there's just that many more un-used 4WD parts available.
That and when the guy looses his job at Wal-Mart, he'll have to sell the Jeep.  Losers.

He'd probably find a job with the county or school district somewhere if that ever happened. They have temporary sympathy for sad cases like that, plus, they would give him some educating as well I suppose.

the last truck show I went to a guy had an xj that he lowered and was fitting a body kit to.  i stared at it for about ten minutes and then the guy said "pretty sweet right?  I'll be the only one around with the body kit!"   a friend of mine drug me away but I got a couple choice words in before he did.  the kicker was it was a 4wd model too.  What a waste.  i thought about picking up a 2wd xj and putting in some power just for fun but this guy seriously thought he had the coolest xj around.

They made 2wd XJ's, MJ's, ZJ's, I believe WJ's and KJ's also.  The new JK will also be available in 2wd.

some people just want the vehicle and don't care about 4wd.  i agree with the 2wd xj for something like a work truck cause you get the reliabilty of the drivetrain but better fuel milage from the 2wd.  xj was a workhorse vehicle.

I've seen that picture before. Makes me sad every time I see it. Such an act should be punishable by firing squad.

The last pic of the Black one isn't too bad.  Nothing there a quick trip to the tire store couldn't fix....... Under the cover of darkness of course.....

Actually...some sand paper and a couple of cans of flat black spray paint would do wonders..

Entire body is polished stainless, and they put a Toyota 4banger in it. Nothing like polishing a turd is there.
For Sale at Collins Bros for $16K.

Wow.

Actually, that looks like a Jeepney form the Philippines.  I'm betting it is since that's what they normally do.  The bodies are hand-made.  I wouldn't call it a turd.  It's just another Jeep variant like the Mahindra, Mitsubishi, etc...

Yeah, man, no rust ever on that thing - body will last forever (in theory).  Would prefer a Chevy Big Block or a Hemi in there, or at least a 90's era 2.5 or 4.0L AMC engine in there (then again that Turbo 2.4 looks kinda interesting and might be a perfect match for the unusal look of this one).

Yeah, I didn't realize at first that body is handcrafted from stainless. That is impressive. Just don't like the look of it. Would be better brushed ala Delorian style. As far as the motor, I had a Yota' with the 22R 4cyl, it had less balls than the 2.5 by far. Althought the damn thing never quit running. All in all, there's definately worse Jeeps out there.
