Warn and Xenon make some decent ones.

I kinda like the Bestop flares 'cause they round off the rear wells, a little overpriced, though you can get them on Ebay cheaper.

I think Bushwacker makes the best looking flares but they are pricy.

In my opinion Bushwacker are crap, very brittle.  Last year I watch 4 guys break their bushwackers.  Go with Warn, tough and durable.

Sounds like Bushwackers are too rigid for serious off-road use, are you building a Jeep for show or go?

There is another company who makes flares.  Omix Ada.  Their flares are a lot cheaper then everyone else for some reasons.  They look like their plastic like the stock flares but come in 7" wide.

Problem with those Poison Spider flares is that they're $$$ and don't increase the flare coverage over stock.  So if you need tire coverage you're SOL.  Keep in mind that if you want an inner wheelwell, you'll need to cut your OEM fender up.  Otherwise, your fenders will have no wheel wells walls.

I'm not a fan of Bushwacker or Bestop.  Bushwacker used to make some huge flares that had a tendancy to crack when hit.  This was also a problem with their old Bronco flares too, I think.  They seem to be focusing on the people who want the look without any of the benifits or price of the real thing.

Bestop is spreading out too much and thir quality had dropped some.  I don't like the styling choice they made with their flares.  It looks like their flares force you to keep that extension behind the front flares.  Most TJ'er and many YJ'ers remove that so they can run some rocker protection there.  The "Perimeter Frame" looks bad, although I know why they went with it.

I'd currently run Warn Trail Flares on my Jeep.  Before that I had Warn 4xFlares and was dissapointed.  I ended up complaining to Warn and they made me an offer with the Trail Flares, that I went with.  I think I'd like to eventually run some tube fenders up front and maybe TJ, Sahara/Rubicon flares out back.

I'm showing the standard ones there...but they do have ones with the 3" extension on them....also, local company here will begin to offer them as well....saw prototypes and they are nice.

The PS fenders you showed on the red TJ are with the 3" extensions.  The standard ones do not have a flare at all.

Keep in mind that the stock flares are only around 3.5" wide.  So like I said if you need tire coverage, you better look elseware.

i like the biuch waker fender flares also but a s a side note they give you less room for your tire.... we experienced this with our rubicon when we had nop lift and 33's they would go on but they would have riped off after the first big road bump.. you lose an 1inch or 2 with them but they look sweet

Wow, those 6" flares are kind of ugly.  I can see those flares would gets dragged over everything and could hang you up.

I've been looking for a good photo, and this is the best I have here.

These are the YJ fronts and the TJ rears by Bestop.

I had to get two sets (YJ & TJ) split them up and run them the way I wanted.  I sold the YJ rear and TJ fronts at a swap meet.

Personally, I didn't like the YJ rears...  I wanted to 'open up' that area and allow for more tire clearance...  The 'classic look' of the CJ's. for my YJ did not appeal to me.

Of course, getting two sets and splitting them up isn't advisable...  Xenon makes a set just like I discribed.
