I will give the full list of what I have done if need be however I figured I would wait until asked to keep this as short and easy to read as possible.
Alright here is the down and dirty....
She was driving good, took a little while to warm up but after that would drive fine. Last night though I dropped off a couple of kids at the Church and after that is when things went down hill FAST!!!!
The first thing that happened was that is starrted sputtering and jerking like it was missing. Then it started to backfire and jerk more. I thought it was missing so I drove real slow to get it home but as I went it seemed to get worse. One of the things it would do is when I would give it gas the RPM's would go up then right when it sounded like it would miss they would drop to zero then just before it would try and die it would bounce back up again.
When I got it home the first thing I did was I went ahead and changed the plugs and check the ditributer and points. Those are all good. Next I was thinking that I wasn't getting enough/ or to much air. So I pulled out the K&N air filter that I am using and started it up without it. It seemed to run alright but it would still die on me, just a little bit of a smoother dieing.
My question is this: Could my throttlebody be causeing this? Could it be stuck open or not opening enough to cause this? If so is there a rebuild kit or should I just price out for a new one???

How about starting off by checking the CEL? If somethings causing the is to run really rought and or die, it should be stored as a CEL.

I am going to reset the computer tonight and see if I can pull some new codes. I will list them later. :) Actually I could use some help on knowing what all my error codes mean and what needs to be fixed, but I will post that to another thread on this one I just want to get this imediate problem fixed.

I'm a bit confused.... You have a distributor with points on a vehicle that you're able to pull codes from? I had the same symptoms happen to me last week on my boat. Turns out the electronic fuel pump was bad. If you’re running Dodge / Chrysler / Jeep / Plymouth OBD-II, here is a list of the trouble codes:

More like the electronic pickup.
Those codes won't work since they're P codes. He's got the standard ODBI code scheme.

I already have all the codes. :) When I got home before I remembered to pull the codes the first thing I did was pull the throttle body and take a look to see if it is all gummed up from who knows what. Anyway I took some pictures I would like to post so if you all will give me a few I will still go pull the codes and I will also upload the pictures to my photobucket account, then hopefully someone will tell me how to post pics on here as well.

This is the order I pulled the codes. Also 11 is on here twice because it showed up twice when I was pulling the codes.
24 Throttle position sensor over 4.96V
25 Automatic Idle Speed (AIS) motor driver circuit shorted or target idle not reached
11 No ignition reference signal detected during cranking OR timing belt skipped one or more teeth; OR loss of either camshaft or crankshaft position sensor.

Well here is what I got after resetting the computer and then driving around the block to get teh symptoms to happen again and see what codes are thrown at the time and here is what was discovered.

Only one 11 and one 42 this time.

TPS = Throttle Position Sensor. Although you said you aren't getting that code anymore. Maybe check the relay for teh fuel pump.

It seems as though it isn't getting enough fuel. What about throwing a pressure gauge on the fuel rail while it’s running? Couldn't hurt.

ALright here is the low down... :roll: I have replaced TPS, CPS, APS, and FPS. Now I am still getting the following errors.

So you're using the 'throw parts at it' method? :nothing: Looks like nothing has changed either. You're getting a lot fo fuel related codes so I'd still start there. Probably look at the fuel pump relay first.

Already replaced fuel pump relay.
Any other ideas???

Could my fuel injectors cause this problem?
Can they be removed and cleaned???

Probably a faulty ground strap. This is what I read on another forum for similar symptoms.
