Title: Parts question
Post by: dexetr30 on September 09, 2006, 02:30:14 PM
Is the radiator from a 99 Cherokee able to be fitted to my t.j. Is the Cherokee radiator any bigger? Besides the t.b. (which I already have) is there anything on the 4.0.L, Cherokee that my 4 banger Wrangler can benefit from? My scrap yard only has one vehicle at this time that I can swap parts from. I’m just curious about what I can use from it. I figure I may as well go and get as much as possible before it gets crushed.

The radiator is too big I believe.  Basically all of the accessories will work on the 2.5L.  This includes the water pump, alternator, alternator bracket, AC pump, PS pump, PS bracket, TB, sensors...  If the engine runs, I'd take that as well as the harenss, computer, gauges, transmission and transfer case.  Might as well get the driveshafts too since you can always have those cut down.  Engine mounts will also interchange.

the cherokee radiator is actually longer and a lot shorter than a wrangler unit. May have the same surface area, but completely different as far as the size and shape.
