Hello agian. I am going to get a set of winter tires for my 90 YJ. How big can I go before I have to change gearing and recalibrate the speed? My jeep is all stock at the moment. I plan to lift it in late Winter for Spring wheeling.

Please check out the FAQ section for some guidance.
With that being said, I went from stock to 31's as that is the largets size that will fit under stock suspension. Didn't bother to change the speedo gear as the difference is negligable at around town speeds.

ok i have a 1990 yj..and if your jeep has the original leafs.. you proably wont beable to fit 31's under your jeep anymore.... atleast on my jeep the leafs were practiculy flate and my 31's wouldnt fit.. which resulted in me geting a2inch lift that lifted the jeep 4 inches over the stock shot leafs...
so it deapends on how shot your leaf springs are..

Original Leafs. But no cracking and a little bounce to them still. The former owner only had the thing off road 2 times. I would like to go to a spring over though. I think that would give me all the lift I need.
