Title: Roc-Trac Xfer Case
Post by: Sidewinder on October 24, 2006, 09:16:30 AM
Can anyone tell me how hard or difficult it would be to mate a Rubicon Roc-Trac xfer case to an AX-5?

Would the AX-5 have any problems holding up in front of this for a year or two?

Thanks in advance.

You would have to swap the TC input to 21spline, don't know if it's the same input shaft as the 231 or if there's a 241 21spline input shaft available.

The Rock Trac uses a different input gear then any other other new process gear transfer case.    So you can't swap gears.     No one currently offers any other input gears than a 23t.    Easiest and cheapest way most likely to also swap in a AX15.

Ditto...  Although you could do a NV3550, NV4500, Klune V...but it won't be as cheap as the AX-15.

Although the input shaft should be the same for the NP241.  I'm not sure if they have a 21 spline though.
