Title: factory alarm for XJ

Anyone know where the factory alarm is on the XJ???....was told the alarm is draining the battery and has no idea where the alarm is located.

Took the Xj to a shop and was told that they had to "disconnect the dash board cluster to disable the alarm" ....but im thinking that if i just disconnect the alarm itsself then there shouldnt be a problem...

If anyone knows anything it would be a great help?

Its a friend that lives in Richmond VA that has the problem. Her husband is termanilly ill and has no way of affording a dealership to fix it or visiting her husband...

Do you know what year it is?  I doubt they changed it much but knowing the year would make sure it's in the same location.

Wouldn't an alarm have it's own fuse location??

on our 97 gc i think ours is under the rear seat on the drivers side... or atleast thats what i think that computer there is for..
