Title: 2" lift for YJ problems?

I am considering the Tuff Country EZ_Ride High-Lift Leaf Springs (2" lift). See Link:

Anyway, my question is: Is it just a simple swap out, or are there other things I will need to do? Do I need new flex brake lines? Will it hurt my U-joints?

I've heard that as long as you don't go above a 2.5" lift, you don't have to worry about drive shaft angles and stuff, but I'm not sure I trust my source.

Also, is Tuff_Country decent? Keep in mind that it's not going to be a serious rock crawler or anything. It may see some light trails and maybe some mud holes, but that's about it.

you'd need new shock in order to fully obtain maximum flex.  brake lines you shld be okay, if anything just get and or make relocation brackets, there not hard to make.  drive shaft angles you'd be good.  dunno about steering, you might need a dropped pitman arm, otherwise you might lose some of you steering radius.   if you do this, you will prob go threw u joints quicker, only problem, of still having a slip yoke, thats why people do sye kits, or at least t-case skid plate spacers.  i think i covered it all, and might be correct, someone else will be along to correct me if i am wrong.

I'm running 2" Rancho springs, no pitman arm needed, brake lines are ok but close. Check yours to be sure. Very slight vibrations in the driveline, you really have to be paying attention to notice, no premature U-joint wear. New shocks are a must. I am running 31" MT/r's with no sway bar or rear trac bar and at full flex I just barely rub the front flare a bit though not hurting anything.

when i put my bds 2 inch lift on my yj.. i hsd to do the transfer case drop for the back drive shaft angles. and i haveny bothered with the brake line relocation yet.

It would be cheaper and result in a better ride (factory springs) if you were to do it that way. Add a 1" body lift and you're at the same hieght.
