Has anyone bought and installed one? Is it a good mod? Little better mileage?

I have the Airaid intake with a 9" K&N cone filter along with the Airaid TB spacer on mine and between the two there is a noticable increase in power and torque.

More importantly tho; it looks cool, sounds hot, and I got some neat decals!!!

How much did you pay for the airaid? I know AEM make good intakes for cars so i figure there product would be worth the money plus i like the thought of that dryflow filter.

I got a Rock-it for cheap. I got what I paid for though   . I think because the tube is made of metal it gets hotter air.

I would buy an intake for the performance gains of it, but does it make it sound better? i hear that when getting exhaust an intake compliments it very well.

it compliments it so that the air can come in and out of the engine easier.. more free flowing on both ends is better than 1.

Can you hear it sucking at all? i know my friend has an intake on his 4runner and you can definitely hear it sucking air in pretty aggressively. If im not mistaken the airraid doesnt replace the whole intake tube, this is one thing that kind of steers be away from it. Would it not be more beneficial to have the whole intake tube replaced?

i got one off ebay, its bling bling chrome but for 30 bucks who cares, i plan on painting it black in the spring time finally.  i could hear it sucking the air in before i put my headers on, now its just too loud.  I gotta tend to that need a cat and cat back system now.  You can feel the performance tho def worth the money.
