Hey guys, I just picked up a rear d44 from an Isuzu Rodeo. Here are the specs..
63" wms to wms
4.10 gears
Limited Slip
Disc Brakes
6 on 5.5
I have a few questions.
1-What do i need to look for to adapt the flange to a spicer u-joint. I have a 95 YJ and i think it uses a 1330 u-joint. Ive been that regular d44 parts will work with this axle, but have any of you successfully done this?
2- How do I go about adapting the e-brake to my yj. it has the outer rotors and inner drums like a ford 8.8.
Thank in advance for the help.

1) I haven't done an Isuzu but I know it's been done before. You can do the yoke two different ways. One is to replace the flange with a standard yoke. The other is to get an flange to yoke adapter.
2) You might just try hooking them up and seeing if it works. I haven't seen those brakes up close though. I'd assume that they use the standard cable ends and will hook up, even though the cables might not be the right length.

The problem i have with the e-brake is that whoever pulled this rear-end torched all the lines. Will my cables from the d35 hook up, or will i need the cables for this axle?
I will probably get a d44 yoke to replace the flange.

Well, the cables are usually standardized. They aren't much more then a properly cut cable with a sleeve and a shot at the end. I'd go ahead and use your cables since they are the right length. The ends should be the same. You'll need a screwdriver to press the clips on the sleeve to get the cable off.

I was told that a D30 toke would bolt right up to a D44. does anyone know this to be true? I have a spare D30 yoke already.
*UPDATE*
I have cut all the old 4-link brackets off. Gotta finish grinding and get some spring perches and it'll be ready. I think i am going to wait till i go SOA to install this because im not going to be running anything bigger than a 33 until i do.
