Well, It says SE and it looks to be an SE, but they advertise it as having an inline 6.. Im wondering if its a case of someone not knowing that wranglers came with anything other than a 4.0 so they just figured thats what it had? :brick:

Don't know if you did it but I ran a Carfax report and it is listed as a 4.0 SE. 3 previous owners and has a clean report. Nice Jeep!

I think that the SE for the yj was a 4.0 the se tj's are obviously 2.5, if I remember correctly.

I says in the listing:
1994 Jeep Wrangler SE
2 door SUV, 4WD, 4.0Liter
This is correct, I believe. Like Gomi said, the YJ SE is a 4.0L while the TJ's it's a 2.5L. :doggy:

c'mon marc we discussed this last night. did he end up buying it or what?

In 2006 you could buy a SE with an optional 4.0l engine so its very well possible

2006 was another transition year though. The engines were probably leftovers from the '05's and since neither the 2.4L nor the 4.0L were going to be produced any longer. So now the only Jeep to use a 2.4L is the Limited Compass (base uses the 2.0L) and the Patriot but there are transverse not North-south. (The 2.4L was dropped from the Liberty also.) Transition years are always strange.
