my friend is selling his yj, its lifted on 35's, not sure how much lift tho. he wants 800 for it, the way i figure it is that the lift and tires are worth 800 by themselves. the axle i believe are locked front and rear. its got a ax-15, which would solve my problem with the auto 3 spd. it's got the 4.0 but its a carb and didnt run good when it ran. im thinking about just getting itfor the lift ad tires axles trans and parting out the rest. think i can make about 800 bye parting out the rest, plus my old lift???? give me you opinions please.

$800 seems like a deal, even if the tires are Thornbirds ;) I paid more than that for a stock 2.5L 94 wrangler with bad paint.

Seems to me you could easily get your money out of the parts. EBAY is a wonderful thing for selling junk/treasures you never thought anyone would want!LOL

You should easily be able to make a profit on that. Don't forget Craig's list (http://chicago.craigslist.org/) either, it's free to post.

$800.00 is a good price. Like stated by oldjeep though, get rid of the Thornbirds. They aren't good for much of anything. They're all about looks and nothing else.

You can usually figure axles cost around $350 each. The engine is probably a 4.2L and not a 4.0L if it had a carb. The Jeep looks like it has maybe 3-4" lift and huge lift shackles. The doors and top are probably worth $800-1000. Good windshield frame with glass is probably another $300. Hood, front fenders and grille another $300. Transfer case, maybe $200-300. Tub + title is probably around $500-700. Frame could sell for $300-500, I think. Seats; $200, rear seat; $200. Cage; $150, etc...
Parting it all out is probably worth well more then $800.
