It's better to spend a bit more and buy a decent lift then to cheap out and regret it.

Better off getting some BDS springs in my opinion.

I got the lift on after a couple of broken bolts and stuck bolts.  It looks great and doesn't ride as rough as the stock springs did.  Of course they had 184,000 miles on them and were pretty much flat and riding on the bumpstops.

Well if they were riding on the bumpstops then that explains why the new leafs seem to ride smoother.  Stock springs should be fairly soft since the spring rates are lower.  I'd recommend removing the rear trackbar and possibly the front.  Those leafs are fairly stiff and removing the rear trackbar should make a HUGE difference. (Removing the front can cause some bumpsteer but shouldn't be a problem with new leafs.  Also, make sure you don't overtorque the shackle bolts.
