Title: any one have summit 185 wheels?

my jeep came with the mickey thompson classis ii rims and i'm trying to get some cheapie steels so i can do diy beadlocks for when i really wheel.

Post by: jcsanders79 on March 20, 2007, 07:19:08 PM: I don't know what stock steel rims weigh but I do know that shipping weight on five steel procomp 15x8 wheels is 97.3 lbs, and I did not see any performance from going to stellies (I had xj alloys prior to the switch)

Post by: YJmechanic on March 21, 2007, 06:21:04 AM: you will get a little more rolling resistance from a steel wheel vs an alumnum one but the differance is pretty small in comparison to what tire you put on. when i had 31 i was concerned about the little differance but once you go to a 33 or higher it really won't matter anymore.
