Got a ? about the product called Motorkote, (I here a lot about it on the Steve Summers midnight truckin radio show). They say you can use it in the motor, tranny, transfer case, and punkins. Just wondering if anyone has tried this product as of late. I guess the stuff will last for up to 4 oil changes, before you have to put it in again. :thumb:

yea hows it last four oil changes when the point of an oil change is to change the oil?? that confuses me

if it like Prolong it bonds to the metal but with Prolong I don't think you hafe to ever add it again.

Yeah it suppose to bond only to the metal parts, with out mixing with the oil. I guess you can also soak your metal parts in it, for up to an hour, before you install them, and it suppose to work better than blending the stuff in your oil.

I thought oils nowadays use additives in , like valvoline uses additives to better clean the oil system.

My dad has an '85 chevy van with a 350. He is very bad about maintenance, changes the oil maybe every 10,000 miles, but the engine runs like new with around 250,000 miles on it. The van has also received hard use, long trips and dirt/ranch roads often. He has always put chlorinated parafins in the oil and it seems to work. I don't know of any company that sells this stuff currently but it can be obtained for industrial use in 55 gallon drums.
