Title: going price for a used 4.0 throttle body?
Post by: huntingbuck101 on April 10, 2007, 04:48:58 PM: stopped at a salvage yard today and found a 4.0 throttle body. when i asked the guy that was helping me how much they go for, he said the owner would want around $100 for it. I told him I've herd that they go for around $40. he agreed to that price if thats what they go for and will have it off for me tomorrow. am I wright on the $40.00?

You can find used 4.0L TB's from $50-80. I think $40 is a deal.

Post by: Elyod on April 10, 2007, 07:04:45 PM: The old kind without the map sensor on it is usually at least ten dollars cheaper on ebay, the newer ones almost always go above forty. That's just on ebay though, i called a salvage yard near me and they wanted 80 for it. I'm still waiting for a deal

Post by: huntingbuck101 on April 11, 2007, 09:50:46 PM: I have been reading about spacers all night on a few different sights and I would say about 95% say they will do nothing for HP or mileage. So I think I will just put my $ to wards a electric fan.
