Post by: lanulos89 on April 18, 2007, 06:39:55 PM
so my moms new puppy decided to like throw up like 4 days worth of food yesterday coming home form the vet.  so i pulled the cxrapets out b/c its had to go on the carpets not out the window or anything.  looked at my drain hole and yea i can pretty much put my fist threw em and the soroundning metal is soft so i igure i shld take care of that, think of cutting away the soft metal and rviting in a piece of say street sign,  or anyone know of a better soulution.?

I wouldn't bother with rivets.  I'd get some sheet metal and cut patches then weld them in.  It will take more work them complete floor panels but it will also be a lot cheaper.

Q-tec for 29.00 here (http://www.quadratec.com/products/22507_02_07.htm), if that's too much......

Definately weld in replacement, rivet's will not do as Jeffy said.

i didn't see anything in your profile regarding your location but i'd be more than happy to help you and weld in the replacements if you are local.  a 12 pack would cover gas and wire :)
